What Is RTT?

Frequently Asked Questions

What Can RTT Help With?

RTT can help almost anything from anxiety, depression, addiction, self-esteem, confidence, health issues, pain management, sexual issues, weight issues, fertility, quitting smoking, fears, phobias, breaking bad habits, abundance blocks, sports and academic performance and many other issues!

What Happens In A Session?

During your session we will work together to put you in a relaxed state of hypnosis. In this relaxed state we will access your subconscious mind and revisit scenes from your life which are related to the root cause of your current issue. We will review three or four scenes and work together to understand the meaning and interpretation your mind has assigned to them. We will then remove and reframe those negative meanings and beliefs. I will then give your mind positive suggestions, upgrading you with new beliefs that support what you want for yourself and your life.

After the session you will receive a personalized transformational recording of these new positive suggestions and beliefs, which you must listen to daily for at least 21 days. The mind learns by repetition and by hearing these suggestions every day you are programming your mind with habits of thought which will lead to the right habits of action.

If you think of RTT like growing a garden the session would be the steps of pulling the weeds, preparing the soil and planting the seeds. The transformational recording is like watering the seeds and tending to the growing flowers in the garden each day. All of these steps are crucial to growing a beautiful, healthy, blossoming garden.

What Does It Feel Like?

During your session you will feel relaxed and comfortable. Hypnosis is a natural state that you experience in your day to day life so it won’t feel unfamiliar. You might leave the session filled with excitement or you may feel a sense of reflection. You may continue to have new insights and discover even more about yourself in the days after the session. Everyone is different but everyone will leave the session with a greater sense of understanding and with the ability to create the change they wish to experience in their life.

What If I Can’t Be Hypnotized?

Everyone has the ability to be hypnotized if they want to be. If you relax and trust yourself and the process you should be able to easily go into a trance state, similar to a relaxing meditative state. Every client receives a relaxation recording to listen to ahead of their RTT session to help them get used to relaxing and going into hypnosis. For people who have experienced PTSD or trauma that has caused them to feel hyper-vigilant I provide a special relaxation recording to help assure them that going into hypnosis is safe and that they will still be aware of everything in their environment.

What If I Don’t Go Deep Enough?

The level of trance is not important and is not linked to results so please do not worry about how deep you go. Simply give your mind the suggestion that you are going into the perfect level of trance and you will.

Will I Be Stuck In Hypnosis?

No, you cannot get stuck in hypnosis. You have complete control the entire time. You can talk, move your body, get a tissue, get up to go to the bathroom and even leave if you wanted.

Are Virtual Sessions Effective?

Online sessions are equally as effective as in-person sessions. Many people find they are able to relax more easily and feel more comfortable at home in their familiar environment.

When Will I Start To See Change?

Clients experience 3 types of change.

Immediate change:  You feel a massive shift right away with immediate change in your physiology, thoughts and behaviors during the session or immediately after.
Incremental change: You see consistent shifts every day, or over time.
Retroactive: You don’t see the shifts right away and then one day you look back and suddenly see all of the things that are different and improved in your life.

Each person is unique and responds differently. You may experience a combination of these various kinds of results.  All are extremely beneficial and one is not better than the other. What is important is that you think about life in a way that allows you to be more positive, productive, and powerful.

Do You Do Regression?

Yes. Regression is an invaluable way to discover the source of an issue. You will not re-experience anything, you will simply observe events or experiences you have had in your past. What you see may make you feel emotional but you will feel completely safe as you observe.

What Ages Do You Work With?

I work with both children and adults. It’s important to note that no matter the age it must be the client’s highest priority that is addressed in a session, which can sometimes differ from parental priorities, and the client’s own choice to work with me.

Will My Session Be Confidential?

Absolutely. All clients are assured of confidentiality in accordance with professional codes of ethics.

Will I Be Under Your Control?

No. You are always in control and you will remember everything from the session. You cannot be made to do anything and you cannot be taken into hypnosis against your will. While in hypnosis I will only give you positive suggestions based on what you have told me you want to achieve. Your mind will only accept suggestions that you want to accept.

How Many Sessions Do I Need?

RTT is designed to give you a powerful breakthrough and create big changes in your life more quickly than other modalities. We always work on one issue at a time, and a single issue can often be resolved in 1-3 sessions. More complex issues could require more sessions. We will discuss this before we begin working together, and throughout your program, to create the best approach for you.

After seeing the incredible and rapid shifts RTT brings, many clients choose to continue to work on other areas of their life and to receive coaching to integrate the new beliefs and build new habits and behaviors.

What If I Go Back To Scenes That Are Scary Or Painful?

If you go back to scenes from your life that are related to abuse, trauma or painful memories it’s important to remember that you are not reliving that scene, you are simply reviewing it and you are safe. I will support you and create a safe space for you to process any emotions that arise.
